About Us
Lemle & Wolff, Inc. is a real estate management firm that was
formed in 1938. The firm began by managing residential
buildings and is today one of the foremost providers of affordable
housing in upper Manhattan and the Bronx. Since 1974, L & W
has also been actively engaged as developer & contractor in the field
of gut and moderate rehabilitation.
The company's objective is to
provide decent, safe, & affordable housing to the residents of the
buildings in our portfolio. We are committed to
the preservation and upgrading of the housing stock in the
areas we service, and we try to reflect this commitment by the way
we manage the buildings entrusted to our care.
Our management
philosophy dictates running our properties in an economical and
sound manner, consistent with proper, ethical and evenhanded
practices. We have a staff of approximately sixty individuals,
many of whom speak and write both English and Spanish, and have the
knowledge of the requisites essential to rehabilitate and operate
older buildings successfully.
We pride ourselves on our ability to "turn problem buildings
around", and in the past have been called upon by owners, mortgage
lenders, the New York City's Department of Housing Preservation &
Development, and the Enterprise Social Investment Corp. to assist and manage projects in distress. The
firm has a good working relationship with local politicians &
community organizations and, more importantly, we are an
organization that cares about providing good housing. |
